The Missing Artwork Chapter 18

Chapter-18

  The next morning (last day in Greece) they woke up feeling very relieved that there was just one more piece to find! But there were still thieve(s) to arrest! And also the school holidays are nearly over, so they needed to act and think fast, so they tried to look for 'Note 6' they kept looking for it until they can actually find it. Then this time Eleanor found it. This is what it said:

                   The last but not least piece might be in NYC at your _______

                   Yup all my teammates are arrested and it's just me left but you will never be able to catch me, if you think you can then come on, prove it!

 On the bottom of the note, there was also something crossed and highlighted out. And they could obviously see what it said.  "Oh, it's that guy which works at the cafe! Remember?" Alissa pointed out. "Uhh, that is so obvious Alissa!" Diana blurted. She held her hand on her mouth and Alissa's mouth. "Dun tried to make it look less obvious but failed miserably!" Eleanor said. "So first let's try to find Dun!" Harriet said. So they took a taxi to 'El Greco' but they couldn't find Dun anywhere. They were thinking that probably Dun was in NYC, so they went back in the taxi to the airport and booked a flight to NYC.

When They Reached...

Harriet and the others were wondering what those extra letters at the bottom were for. They were also wondering why there was a dash next to the word 'your.' They called Officer Brown & Bond but they didn't know either. Officer Bond had a friend named Mr. Andrew Elijiah Matthew Aiden James Thornberg (89Q is his detective name), yes it is a pretty long name but they had to call him. 89Q had been in college for 4 years to become a detective.

When 89Q saw the note, he understood immediately. "This is actually kind of like an analog. So first find out what the letters on the bottom mean, I already found out!" "Does it say arers tumeagnd ghoa's? Wait, no way!" Eleanor said, Alissa slapped her forehead. "IT SAYS: SAER RUM TEAGONDGHA'S," Alissa shouted. "OMG are you brainless? It says Great Grandma's House!" Diana said back. "Great job Diana, now write it on the dash!" 89Q exclaimed. "Huh!?" Alissa & Diana said at the same time.

They wrote it on top of the dash but they were wondering, 'who's great-grandma!?'

They first looked in Alissa's Great grandma's/Sierra Valiquette's house. But Sierra just greeted them with a crooked voice. Sierra had white, short & curly hair. Sierra looked very tired. "Hello Sierra! Have you found anything strange in your house?" Harriet asked, "Actually no," Sierra said very pleasantly. Alissa gave her great-grandma/Sierra a hug and said, "Bye gogo(south African name for 'grandma')." Next they went to Diana's Great Grandma's house(her name is Alexandra.) Alexandra said the same response. Eleanor's?(Aria) yet the same. But now it was Harriet's turn, yes it was true Harriet's Great Grandma is already gone! So where do they go? They, of course, do not know where Harriet's Great Grandma lived so how could Anonymous?

Harriet and the others went to Harriet's mother's place. Harriet knocked on the door

& Harriet's brother, Harry (Harrison) greeted them with a smile. "Hello Harriet! Mom is just sleeping. Anyways what brings you here?" "Hello Harry, oh we're just here to ask you if you know where our great-grandma used to live," Harriet replied. "Uh, which side dad or moms?" "Both!" Harriet exclaimed. "Uh, mom's grandma used to live at 6872 John Street? And dad's grandma used to live at Frankfort Street, 1460," Harry replied. "Thank you!" Harriet and everyone else said and left. First, they went to John Street and tried to look for the house. When they found the house it looked VERY OLD. They checked the OLD mailbox but, nothing in it! They checked the OLD doorstep, there was nothing rather than a dried out plop of DISGUSTING bird poop.

Next, they went to 1460, Frankfort Street it didn't look TOO OLD. Harriet and the others checked the doorstep but nothing, front yard? Nothing, mailbox? The last piece!, Kaching! Diana put the piece in her bag. They all went to where 89Q was. "Did you find the piece?" He asked "Yuppy yoyo!" Eleanor jumped and exclaimed. Diana held out the piece, while, nodding her head. "Well done! By the way, I might know where Dun is, after all, we were college mates, not friends or anything. Dun only went to college one time while I went repeatedly 2 times. Let's go to his house right now! 89Q drove them to Dun's house since he was the only person who actually knew where it is.

89Q rang the doorbell and stood behind Harriet. The door opened and Dun met them with a smile and said: "Hi everyone and why in the world are you here?" "We are just saying that you are caught!" Harriet said loudly. "Dun Dun DUUUUUN!" Eleanor, Diana & Alissa said at the same time. Harriet shoved Note 6 right in Dun's face Dun shot a very concerned look and whispered so so sooooo quietly that he was LIP SYNCING it "oh no,"  "That was no-" "Uh ah ah no I don't believe you, I'm calling the cops right now!" Harriet said. So she called the cops and Dun was arrested. They hurried to Harriet's house to glue the pieces. They rummaged through the vintage cupboard and found the pieces, They looked in her cartons for the glue, wood, nails, and hammer. They started fixing up the artwork and made it look brand new. Straight after they went to 'De Art Gallery'. While they were in the car Harriet called Mark and Hannah saying that they found and glued all the pieces together. The 13 year old siblings were so relieved. "YUSSSSSS the annual day is just tomorrow and right now it's 5 pm!" The one hour older sister Hannah said. They arrived and gave the painting straight away. Harriet told Picasso about it. "You actually didn't have to find it for me!" Pablo replied but anyways they already did. The annual day came and they were all happy that they found the piece in time.
