SNEAK PEEK | Mahé Days - In The Town
'Oh thank the lord!’ Shreesha Balika exclaimed, out on the lawn. However, Mr Salim, who lived next door, was harassed. ‘Erm, Yusuf can't get any sleep with your audio! What’s the racket all about!?’ He shouted, leaning out of the window. 'I am finally a grandmother, Mr Salim!' Salim did not bother to care, he just shut the windows and disappeared. Mr Salim was a single parent. His son suffered a malaise. Mr Salim was a sour man with just a big ego, the only people he cared for were himself and his beloved but spoiled son, Yusuf. ‘Oh! I’m sorry Mr Salim,’ Shreesha tried shouting loud enough so that he could hear from inside. Shreesha walked back into her house. The plump woman had deep brown eyes and her mehendi covered, frizzy hair was pulled back into a tight bun.
On the nāmakaraṇa chadange of Shreesha’s granddaughter, they chose the name "Vidya". 'Beautiful name, i'nt it? Means knowledge, she gonna be a shmaat baby!' Ugesh, Vidya's grandfather explained to his non-malayali daughter, and mother of Vidya, Iyushi. Iyushi was a fair lady with light brown, smooth hair, hazel eyes and her body was slim and tall. She was born in Mumbai and spent half of her life in America, so she is not familiar with her family’s wordings.
